Massage Therapy

Therapeutic massage is used to manage a health condition or enhance wellness. Some examples for using massage therapy include, relaxation, relieving pain, recovery from automobile accidents, rehabilitating from sports injuries, reducing stress, anxiety and depression. .Massage therapy encompasses many different techniques.


Reflexology

A method of stimulating more than 7,000 nerve endings in each hand and foot which correspond to all parts of the body, including organs, glands and body systems. The intention is to eliminate energy blockages thought to produce pain or disease in related areas, promoting relaxation and healing.

Molly received her massage certification in 2012 from the Aveda Institute and is new to the Balance Life Team. Molly has a nurturing personality and enjoys helping others. She specializes in swedish massage and trigger point therapy, as well as pregnancy massage. Molly massage technique has a very relaxing tempo with a light to medium pressure.

Chelsea is a firm believer in massage therapy as a self-care practice. She receives regular massages and encourages others to do the same.  Chelsea enjoys seeing people relax and unwind from the beginning to end of the session. Chelsea graduated from Ridgewater College’s massage therapy program in 2009. Chelsea is also a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) who has extensive training in anatomy and physiology. One of Chelsea’s favorite areas to work is the neck and upper back area. She specializes in Swedish/relaxation massage with the use of hot stones and deep tissue work with trigger point therapy.  Chelsea is also trained in cupping therapy. Cathy is focused on making a positive difference in people’s health and lives. She is a graduate of the Minneapolis School of Massage and Bodywork with nearly 30 years of experience.
